Prepare for the Cost

Planning your move? Start by setting a budget. Consider the following as you plan your budget.

  • The cost for a mover. Professional movers vary in price.  Request an itemize list of services a moving company will provide to avoid potential hidden cost or fees.
  • The cost of renting a truck or storage container for your move.
  • The cost of handling  special items such as, art and appliances.

As you plan for your move, contact multiple moving companies for estimates before settling on a mover. The right company can make a big difference in your overall costs and services.  If you choose to hire a company to handle your move, a licensed mover is a safer choice.  To gain an idea of cost for movers try this calculator to understand potential expenses.
