Robuck Homes deepens its family-owned legacy with hiring of Michael Bishop

Jan 20, 2026

Bishop to represent Ray at Claridge, Robuck’s new boutique community in North Raleigh

RALEIGH, NC – January 2026  – As Robuck Homes begins a milestone in its 100th year, the company has brought on the first of its next generation within the Robuck family. Michael Bishop, the son of owner Shelly Robuck-Bishop and General Manager Chip Bishop, and grandson of founders Frank and Linda Robuck, has joined the sales team for the North Carolina homebuilder. His focus will be on Robuck’s newest Raleigh-based community Ray at Claridge near the established Stonehenge neighborhood.

A graduate of East Carolina University, Bishop began working in the homebuilding field as a teenager, where he served as a builder’s assistant, then worked his way up as a builder. After graduating from ECU in 2021, he worked as a construction manager for two years before transitioning to be a sales and marketing representative for almost two years.

Bishop was born and raised in Raleigh. His deep roots in North Carolina and his extensive experience with builders beyond Robuck have given him a unique perspective into the homebuilding process. “The range of experiences I’ve had has helped me deeply understand both the home itself and the dynamics of each transaction, which allows me to confidently support homeowners at every step of the process.” Bishop said. “I have deep curiosity that drives me to understand the ‘why’ behind each customer’s new home journey. I’m excited to bring that insight to my family’s business.”

In his free time, Bishop is an avid outdoorsman and animal lover who has two dogs, two cats, and five horses. He also competes in endurance sports, logging over 2,500 miles of endurance horse rides and two marathons to date.

Bishop will be the on-site New Home Sales Consultant at Ray at Claridge, which features 10 new homes coming soon – starting in the $900s. These single-family homes will feature modern designs with floor plans that include 3 to 5 bedrooms, 2.5 to 4 bathrooms, and over 3000 square feet of living space. This coveted location, found in the existing Claridge neighborhood off Ray Road near the Stonehenge area and Lake Lynn, symbolizes Robuck’s return to Raleigh after several years of building in other fast-growing locations throughout the Triangle and Wilmington areas.

Potential buyers can join the VIP list to learn more about the community. Visit robuckhomes.com/stonehenge-raleigh/ for information or to talk with Bishop.
