If you’re headed to the Wilmington-Cape Fear Parade of Homes, it’s always fun to explore the communities that surround the parade homes. Robuck Homes has a home open for the Parade of Homes at WyndWater in Hampstead. As you’re traveling up the coast for the Parade, check out our favorite Hampstead NC restaurants to get a flavor for the local fare and to really get a sense for what it’s like to live there.  

The following 5 restaurants are just a few we recommend you sample.

Oval & Ale

Oval & Ale is new artisan pizza place that was inspired by the owners’ childhood memories from Long Island. This restaurant offers nine signature, Roman-style pizza, or pinsas, such as shrimp pesto and portabella burrata. They also have a selection of 12 rotating craft beers from the region for guests to enjoy. The atmosphere is friendly and easy-going, which is exactly what you should expect from a coastal pizza joint.

Hours: Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 12 to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to to 8 p.m. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Jebby’s On 17

Enjoy a comforting taste of the American south at Jebby’s On 17, which provides fresh ingredients from local farmers and fishermen. From fried green tomatoes that are a can’t-miss to fresh seafood like shrimp ‘n grits and an oyster po’ boy, your mouth will be watering the moment you walk in the door. Jebby’s On 17 also offers low country meals like southern fried chicken, chicken pot pie, and a cast iron New York strip that you won’t want to miss.

Sawmill Grill

Good, old-fashioned country comfort. That’s what Sawmill Grill offers the community of Hampstead. They offer a wide assortment of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for just about any taste. From traditional breakfast meals to eastern North Carolina-style BBQ and just about every fried seafood you can imagine, you’re sure to find something you’ll love here. Sawmill Grill offers regular breakfast, lunch, and early bird specials, too. You may come hungry, but you’ll leave stuffed and fully satisfied.

Nineteen Restaurant

Nineteen Restaurant is a high-end restaurant located at Olde Point Country Club that offers American-style pub fare and traditional Italian dining, as well as an assortment of healthier sandwiches and salads. From fresh mussles and little neck clams to homemade meatballs and fresh-made Italian sauces, Nineteen Restaurant’s signature meals are undeniably delicious. This restaurant also features a Sunday brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Bloody Mary and Mimosa specials. It’s sure to be one of your favorite Hampstead NC restaurants.

Los Primos Mexican Restaurant

If you’re craving fresh Mexican food, Los Primos is a fantastic spot you don’t want to miss. Here, you’ll find beloved Mexican favorites, and some offer a coastal spin. From XX beer battered tilapia tacos and grilled shrimp and rice to the more traditional Mexican fare like enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas, and fajitas, this spot is authentic and delicious. They also offer outstanding desserts and a selection of beers and margaritas that are a can’t-miss.

Hampstead NC restaurants shouldn’t be all you want to do during the Parade of Homes. Drop by WyndWater to see Robuck’s Hampton Modern Farmhouse, a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home priced at $629,900.
